Holiday Package
Day 1: Arrival at Varanasi
Arrival at Varanasi, Check in to the hotel. In the evening, take a boat ride at Dashashwamedh Ghat and witness Ganga aarti.
Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Varanasi – Prayagraj (approx 120 kms/ 2.5 hrs)
After breakfast, visit Prayagraj- a beautiful city situated at the confluence of the Rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Upon arrival at Prayagraj, visit :
- Anand Bhavan, the former residence of Nehru family, has now been transformed into a museum showcase various artifacts and articles of the era of Independence movement in India.
- Allahabad fort, it was built by Emperor Akbar in 1583. The fort stands on the banks of the Yamuna near the confluence with the river Ganges. It is the largest fort built by Akbar.
- Hanuman Temple, The shrine is an underground pit which houses an enormous image of Lord Hanuman in a lying position.
- Triveni Sangam. Three rivers- Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati meet together here, creating a beautiful sight.
Return back to hotel in Varanasi. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Explore Varanasi
After breakfast, visit:
- Kashi Vishwanath Temple also known as the Golden temple dedicated to the Lord Shiva and is one of the 12 Jyotilinga,
- Bharat Mata Temple displays a map of Undivided India in the centre of the building showing Afghanistan, Pakistan including Balochistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar as Burma and Sri Lanka.
- Sankat Mochan Mandir dedicated to the Hindu God Hanuman.
- Birla Mandir is built by the Birla Group of Industries. Dedicated to goddess Laxmi, goddess of wealth and the preserver, god Narayana, the temple gains historic importance being a symbol of unity among various castes.
- Tulsi Manas Temple, a temple with great historical and cultural importance in Hinduism.
Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Varanasi – Sarnath (approx 9.5 kms/ 30 mins)
Early in the morning, visit Aassi Ghat to enjoy Sunrise, then we walk through Akhadas of Varanasi. Back to the hotel, have breakfast and get ready for Sarnath tour. Later proceed to Sarnath- a very important place of pilgrimage for Buddhists, the place where Buddha gave his first sermon. Here visit :
- Dhamek Stupa, one of the holiest sites for Buddhist pilgrimage in India, Sarnath is famous as the place where Lord Buddha had delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment at Bodhgaya.
- Sarnath Archaeological Museum, famous for the four headed lion that was once on top of the Ashoka Pillar,
- Tibetan Buddhist Monastery, the peaceful and traditional Monastery.
Return back to hotel in Varanasi. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, take the departure.
