Day 1 - Arrival at Madurai & Transfer to Kodaikanal (approx 116 kms)
Arrive at Madurai, transfer to Kodaikanal. Enroute visit:
- Dum Dum Rock Point refreshes and rejuvenates the tired travelers. It is strategically constructed to get a spectacular view of the Manjalaru Dam and Thalaiyur waterfalls.
- Silver Cascade Falls, is known for its white water plummeting over the many steps of this over 50-metre tall waterfall which appears like milk than water.
Arrival at Kodaikanal, check-in to the hotel and relax. Afterwards, visit:
- Pine Forest, showcases the mesmerizing nature. The sight of pine trees present in abundance and welcoming you to their world is nothing but nature's wonder with the forests appearing grey with dried cones and leaves. The forests are surrounded by a vegetation of mushrooms popularly known as the magic mushrooms, which are believed to be hallucinogenic.
- Lake View point. One can stop and stand atop Lake View Point, and enjoy an aerial view of the Kodaikanal Lake.
Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 - Sightseeing at Kodaikanal
After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Kodaikanal:
- Coaker’s Walk, is on a vertical slope of the mountain. The places offer tourists with a refreshing setting along with breath taking view of the plain
- Bryant Park, is a botanical park and a blessing on the hill station for those interested in botany. The park is known for many kinds of flowers, hybrids and grafts.
- The Kodai lake, is a manmade lake. There are several activities that one can enjoy, some of them are Boating,Flower show, Fishing,Swimming
- Pambar Falls, are also called “Grand Cascade”. This beautiful cataract flows down over a series of zig-zag rock formation. It ends into tub offered by nature to take a refreshing bath in freshwater while enjoying the rich flora and fauna along with melodious birds and butterflies.
- Guna Caves, have an engrossing history. It is believed that the Pandavas used to cook their meals in these caves. The caves are hugged by three gigantic rock pillars and are sheltered by the Shola trees
- Kurinji Andavar Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan, the God of Hill, this temple acts as the spiritual link between the hills and the Lord of the residents.
- Pillar Rocks, are formed with three granite boulders which stand shoulder to shoulder creating an impressive sight. There is mini garden bestowed with beautiful flowering plants.
Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 – Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Transfer to Madurai. Take the departure.
